The Challenges
Volumes of garnishments too high to effectively process manually
The complex nature of the airline business is illustrated in the wage attachment arm of this airline's payroll tax department. They utilize a single database to handle an active payroll of 52,300 employees with weekly, bi-weekly, semi-monthly, and monthly payroll cycles.
This complexity is multiplied when 3,500+ garnishments are added to the continuously active payroll cycles. There was a need to track multiple attachments for diverse payroll environments, then integrate all data back into the payroll system.
The airline's challenge was to simplify this complex, manual garnishment process utilizing a system capable of automating the entire process.
